Thanksgiving Day Craft Workshop (Activities for Children & Families)
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: Liberty Hall Museum, 1003 Morris Ave. Union NJ 07083

You and your family will create a colorful turkey centerpiece that your guests will "gobble" over as they enjoy their meal on Thanksgiving Day. $8 per child, one adult free with child's ticket. Includes all workshop materials. Reservations Required.

PetSmart in the Watchung Square Mall located off of Route 22 West in Watchung, NJ is hosting a huge adoption event and bake sale with Lifeline Animal Rescue Group to find loving homes for many cats and kittens. Lifeline Animal Rescue saves displaced and abandoned cats from certain death by giving them a second chance at life, but they need your help. Stop by our event to make a difference and save a life. Now is your chance to adopt the PURRfect Companion just in time for the holidays! Donations of cat food, cat toys, blankets, old linens and cash are greatly appreciated. Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion (Art Exhibit)

Location: Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art

"Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion" will open at the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art on Sunday, March 29, 2009. "Tibetan Portrait" highlights photographic portraits of Tibetan people by renowned contemporary artist Phil Borges. The opening on March 29 is particularly timely as March 28th is the 50th anniversary of the failed Tibetan uprising that protested the occupation of Tibet. The exhibition celebrates the compassionate spirit of the Tibetan people as they struggle to maintain their culture in exile and under occupation.The exhibition will remain on view at the Museum through December 2010.The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 1-5pm. Benefit For A Local Airforceman (Fundraiser)

Location: American Legion Post 338 860 State Route 36 Leonardo,NJ

On April 28,2009 local Airforceman Michael Milford was paralyzed in a diving accident. On November 21st 2009 at the American Legion Post 338 in Leonardo,NJ a benefit will be held to help with medical expenses.
