Lifeline Animal Rescue saves displaced and abandoned cats from certain death by giving them a second chance at life, but they need your help. Stop by our event to make a difference and save a life. Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion (Art Exhibit)

"Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion" will open at the Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art on Sunday, March 29, 2009. "Tibetan Portrait" highlights photographic portraits of Tibetan people by renowned contemporary artist Phil Borges. The opening on March 29 is particularly timely as March 28th is the 50th anniversary of the failed Tibetan uprising that protested the occupation of Tibet. The exhibition celebrates the compassionate spirit of the Tibetan people as they struggle to maintain their culture in exile and under occupation.The exhibition will remain on view at the Museum through December 2010.The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 1-5pm. On April 28,2009 local Airforceman Michael Milford was paralyzed in a diving accident. On November 21st 2009 at the American Legion Post 338 in Leonardo,NJ a benefit will be held to help with medical expenses.
